Info Post
Davao is the largest city in the Mindanao area and is one of the busiest places in the Philippines. This is because it has emerged as the center for business, investment and tourism in the southern part of the Philippines. It has numerous beaches and mountain resorts that have diving spots and is near the highest peak of the Philippines called the Mount Apo. And since it has become a center of business and tourism in the South, it boasts of great tourist spots that you can explore.

One of the places you can go is the Crocodile Park, home to the Crocodile Park which is the only park in Davao the gives homes to locally bred crocodiles. This includes the biggest crocodile in the country, Pangil that measures over 18 feet. There are also other animals in display such as tigers and snakes and have various activities that you can partake such as horseback riding, nature tour and feeding the young reptiles.

Another tourist spot that you go to which is connected to nature is the Eden Nature Park, which is located at Mount Tolomo---40 minutes away from the city. This is a perfect place to unwind from the busy city life and appreciate the beauties of nature more. This park is known to be one of the greenest ecological tourist spots in the Phlippines as it boasts of animal sanctuaries, beautiful gardens and pine trees. Aside from that, it is also a resort as tourists can rent out villas, cottages and rooms if they plan to stay overnight to enjoy the sceneries more. There also tours here so you can get to know about the park and its facilities.
The Philippine Eagle National Center is another tourist spot to go to because it is the home of one of Philippines’ endangered species---the Philippine Eagle. You can find the world’s largest eagle here as it nurtures the birds and the people here does extensive research in order to preserve this wonderful specie. It welcomes tourists who want to take a look at this spectacular bird that is one of the beauties of the Philippines.

And of course, a tour in Davao will not be complete without going to the beach. If you don’t have a resort yet, we recommend the Pearl Farm Island Resort which is just 45 minutes boat ride Davao City---located at the secluded Samal Island off the coast. This is a world-class private resort and is called pearl farm because it once houses white, pink and gold pearls that come from a special breed of oysters in the Sulu Island. Since it is private, you can truly relax and unwind in any way you want and leave the city life behind for awhile.

Indeed, Davao is one of the best places to go when it comes to the Southern part of the Philippines. When you plan to travel to the south this year, better make sure to put Davao in your list.
